Ranch House II
Nicknamed “The Farmhouse,” this project was a complete overhaul of an existing 1980’s home that was built to resemble an early Texas dwelling. We bathed the inside in a fresh coat of white paint, which allowed us to showcase the great natural light in the house. In the kitchen, we removed the ceiling to expose the beautiful vaulted ceilings above, turning a previously dark and cramped cooking area into a large, inviting space — a perfect place to gather. Elsewhere in the house, after removing the cactus and barbed-wire themed wallpaper, we remodeled the bathrooms to be a natural extension of the home’s decor: clean and calming, with accents of natural elements.
Once the remodel was complete, we furnished the home in a natural, organic color palette that was the perfect backdrop for the beautiful scenic views outside. Mixing new furnishings with vintage, found objects gave this farmhouse the relaxed, easygoing, yet sophisticated vibe the client was looking for.
